Last week, the academy class was all about ladders! The recruits practiced carrying and throwing ladders, ladder bailouts for self-rescue, and trained in second-story rescue procedures.

The class also refined their TIC (Thermal Imaging Camera) skills, which allow firefighters to locate areas of heat amid darkness and smoke. This is critical for victim location during an incident and for identifying remaining hot spots after a fire has been knocked down.

These recruits continue to give it their all, showcasing their commitment and dedication to serving our community!
