JW Roberts

Battalion Chief JW Roberts began his career in 1995 as a student volunteer firefighter for Hermiston Fire. JW’s Education includes two AAS degrees, a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Service Administration, and a Master of Science in Leadership. BC Roberts is currently assigned as the shift commander on A-Shift, and works out of Station 21.

Battalion Chief Roberts is a member of the Oregon Fire Chief’s Association, Eastern Oregon EMS Conference Committee, and the Oregon Incident Reporting Advisory Commission.

Battalion Chief Roberts oversees the operations of his shift and the district on assigned days, working closely with other shifts & divisions. He works with local health care facilities, neighboring fire departments, and community programs. Additional duties include working closely with the dispatch center and data systems. JW believes in building relationships in the communities we serve to influence system wide improvements.

JW enjoys spending time with his family while traveling, camping, boating, and watching movies. You can often find him attending one of his daughters many sporting events.
